the
UNIT
The Phantom Screen units
can be mounted on the inside or outside of the door or window,
on either side of the frame or on both in the case of french doors,
face fit ( mounting the unit on the face of the frame ) or reveal
fit ( mounting the unit inside the frame ).
They can be mounted to both existing doors and windows, or manufactured
to mount on new doors and windows.
They can easilty be mounted to timber, aluminium, or steel frames
and can be colour-coded to blend in with the existing frame colours.
When the unit is not in use ( retracted ), the width of the housing
and the handle is only approximately 110mm wide.
When operational the Housing and Handle take up only 50mm and
52mm in width at opposing ends (left & right or top &
bottom). Regardless of the size of the coverage area, the housing
and handle width remains constant at 50mm and 52mm respectively.
Phantom Screens can
be provided for openingS up to 3 metres by 3 metres ( 9 sq metres
).
( subject to wind conditions )
The aluminium sections of all Phantom Screens are available
in 60 Dulux colours.
All production and installation screws are stainless steel.
This eliminates all possibilities of rust and corrosion.
Non metallic parts of the Phantom Screen are UV stable nylon.
the
TRACK
Standard
Track:
Casement
Track No. 4:
This
is the most commonly used system.
It can be utilised with
face fit (flush),
angles
our standard range of treads,
(either raised section or flush floor situations where
extra support is required.)
The standard track is 25mm
high and 20mm wide so if a flush fit is desired for the
double french door situation, allowance for the track
is required.
This
system is used in most reveal situations where the unit
is mounted inside the door jamb or window frame.
It differs from the standard track (which can only be
screwed under the channel) by having a moulded heel; This
not only gives extra strength and support when used as
the bottom door track, but is fixed throught the heel.
It requires the same 25mm wide by 20mm high area to allow
the door to slide freely.
